Throughout President Biden’s administration, a significant concern among American voters has been his age and cognitive abilities. In recent years, numerous videos have emerged online depicting Biden in what many perceive as a state of cognitive decline. This has raised substantial doubts regarding his suitability for a second term.
For instance, a video posted on X in September 2023 captured Biden shouting erratically during a speech in Maryland while addressing the issue of high drug prices in the United States. He stated, “You’re going to pay somewhere between 20 and 40 percent less in those other countries,” before abruptly raising his voice to the audience, exclaiming, “Same exact drug. Made by the same exact company.”
Although concerns about Biden’s cognitive state may have diminished following his withdrawal from the race and Donald Trump’s decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, it serves as a stark reminder of how the Democratic Party and mainstream media may have misled the American public for an extended period.
The Young Americans for Liberty shared the aforementioned clip on X, commenting, “Joe Biden starts screaming out of nowhere during speech,” and sarcastically added, “He’s fine.” A user responded to the post, stating, “Don’t believe your lying eyes, didn’t you get the DNC memo that Biden is just fine? The DNC went full-blown propaganda blitz yesterday. Never seen so many Marxist posts at the same time. That only happens when they get scared.”
Particularly following Biden’s lackluster debate performance against President-elect Donald Trump in June, which appeared to trigger his withdrawal from the race, there were widespread calls for the invocation of the 25th Amendment to disqualify the president from office. The American Tribune reported on comments made by Mike Johnson in early July regarding the potential removal of Biden.
The discourse surrounding the debate from the previous evening has captured the attention of everyone on Capitol Hill, as well as individuals across the nation. It presented a clear and striking contrast between the two presidential candidates. The House Speaker remarked, “What has been witnessed by many is quite remarkable, and it has been evident to all.”
He noted that a significant number of Americans have recognized this disparity for some time, stating, “For some, it may be puzzling why this comes as a surprise, as we have been articulating this for an extended period. However, there was only one individual on that stage who possesses the capability and qualifications to be elected president in the upcoming term, and that individual is Donald J. Trump. The current president, Joe Biden, has revealed his true nature.”
Addressing concerns regarding the invocation of the 25th Amendment, Johnson remarked, “Many individuals are inquiring about the potential invocation of the 25th Amendment at this moment, given the alarming circumstances. As I have previously indicated, our adversaries are acutely aware of the vulnerabilities present in this administration, a sentiment shared by all of us. I derive no satisfaction from stating this; it is indeed a perilous situation. However, it is important to note that the determination does not rest with Congress, but rather with the Cabinet, as stipulated by the Constitution.”
